Post, corrections, arguments
Tell us we are wrong
Every correction on this page came from a reader. None of them came from a publisher. If you have played something further than we have and reached a different conclusion, that is genuinely the most useful message we can receive.
The form
Everything here is checked in your browser before anything is sent. This is a static site, so nothing leaves your machine — the form is a demonstration of how a submission would be validated.
One of us reads everything, usually within a week. Factual corrections get a reply and, where we were wrong, a dated line on the list to the right.
Corrections, in full
We do not quietly edit published reviews. When something changes, the change is dated and stays here permanently, whether it flatters us or not.
| Date | What we got wrong | Found by |
|---|---|---|
| 18 Jun 2026 | Stated the survival horror entry allowed subtitle scaling; it scales interface text only. Accessibility note rewritten. | A reader in Cardiff |
| 02 Mar 2026 | Gave the grand strategy campaign length as 34 hours from the log; the log said 43. Arithmetic, not judgement. | A reader in Leeds |
| 11 Nov 2025 | Claimed the racing entry had no wet-weather physics changes. It has, below a certain tyre temperature, which we had never reached. | Two readers, separately |
| 29 Jul 2025 | Described a metroidvania route as impossible without a late ability. A reader sent video proving otherwise. Verdict unchanged; the sentence went. | A reader in Glasgow |
| 14 Apr 2024 | Attributed a frame-rate figure to the kitchen laptop when it came from the desk. Our worst error, and the reason machines are now named in every claim. | A reader in Bristol |
| 03 Sep 2023 | Misspelled a composer's name throughout a review of a rhythm game. Corrected within hours; the apology took longer. | The composer |
What we cannot help with
We are two people with day jobs and no relationship with any publisher. We cannot pass messages to developers, obtain review code, resolve refunds, or troubleshoot a game that will not launch on your machine. We will always tell you that rather than ignore you.

The studio
Post is genuinely welcome and occasionally arrives. We share a building with several other tenants, so put The Long Save on the envelope or it will be opened by a ceramicist.

Response times, honestly
When you will hear back
A factual correction gets a reply within a week and a published line within two, if it stands up. An argument about a verdict gets a reply when one of us has something worth saying, which is sometimes a month. A suggestion for a second run gets acknowledged but rarely acted on quickly, because a second run takes us a season.
We do not use an automated system, so nothing is ever closed as resolved by a robot. If you have heard nothing in a fortnight, send it again — it will be our fault, not yours.
